Our Story
A native of western Massachusetts, Diane Murray has
spent most of her life shopping or working to help others shop. In 1990, Diane and her
sister started their first business, a house party company, The Chalk Garden aimed at
helping women find exciting gift and decorating ideas for their homes.
Diane's experiences working with exclusive shops like Crabtree & Evelyn, and I Magnin,
along with her education in retail merchandising, have given her a unique perspective on
shopping. Her love of style was defined during her trade pursuits in catalog design,
and visual merchandising. Diane spent five years living and shopping in Europe, in places
like London, Paris, Madrid, and Rome before returning to the United States. |

Her drive for developing new ideas was launched into high gear as a shopping mother of
two. She realized that she could provide valuable information to help other woman shop
successfully and have fun doing it. Madwoman Shopper is how Diane has decided to provide
other busy women with her expertise and lighthearted insight into shopping.
